Ecopreneur.eu goes live!! The European Network of Green Business

Today, January 22 2015, UnternehmensGrün (Federal Association of Green Business, Germany), Entreprendre Vert (platform for sustainable entrepreneurs, France) and Grüne Wirtschaft (Organisation of Green Entrepreneurs, Austria) have joined forces to co-found a pan-European organization called Ecopreneur.eu, the European Network of Green Business. Greenbiz (Spain) we are the first organization to join after the co-founders, and we will contribute with the Spanish side of the network.

Ecopreneur.eu is the European umbrella organization of national green economy entities. Environmental, economic and energy politics go beyond national borders. The European Union and its decision making structures are becoming more and more important. In order to give the sustainable and socially just economy a powerful voice, national green business organizations are now forming a stronger network. Under Ecopreneur.eu, the three founding members Entreprendre Vert (France), UnternehmensGrün (Germany) und Grüne Wirtschaft (Austria), together with Greenbiz (Spain) and other up-coming members from Denmark, Norway and England, we have joined forces with the aim to improve the political framework for sustainable business activities beyond our countries of origin.

The first steps towards Ecopreneur.eu were already taken in 2009 by its founders, and now, in January 2015, with the official foundation of the umbrella organization and the addition of the new members, our common goals receive a strong voice in Brussels. Ecopreneur.eu is the umbrella organization of eco-entrepreneurs, unified in our acceptance of responsibility for our economy, environment and society. Together we set a course for sustainable economic policies.
